"We came to you a year ago at ages 72 and 69. After your personal counseling session with us at Stanford Inn, reviewing your course and class materials and reading the books you recommended including The China Study by Dr, Campbell and Diet For Life,By Dr.Joel Fuhrman, we adopted a plant based diet. We’ve recently met with you again, a year later. During the year we’ve each gradually slimmed down … about 10% weight loss (in the right places) and we thought we were not heavy beforehand. Under supervision of our family physician Larry dispensed with his blood pressure medication. Larry takes no prescription drugs. We have eliminated many of the supplements we previously used. We’ve learned how to select the high value foods you suggested. We eat the rainbow of vegetables and fruits (all organic if possible).We cook, often both of us, putting recipes together. We are conscious shoppers. Eliminating dairy products was the most challenging aspect. We’ve maintained our reduced weight regimen and have more energy.
